By Aaron Humes: Two weeks ago, 44 year old Roger Bradley, no stranger to the law or the court, got a break by being fined rather than confined for the theft of a grinder from a Chinese businessman’s residence.
Sticking to asking for forgiveness rather than permission, he entered another guilty plea for stealing a sack of 43 bottles valued at $10.75 and the property of Kindra Pou.
Magistrate Khadeen Palmer imposed a fine of $300 which he was ordered to pay by July 30, 2019 in default, 3 months’ imprisonment.
In court, Bradley told Magistrate Khadeen Palmer that he was very sorry for his action and that what he did was a mistake and that he does not want to do it again.
The repeat offender begged the court for leniency, saying he has two daughters suffering from leukaemia and that he wants to be there to care for them and that he is trying hard to help them.
Bradley claims he is working at the terminal carrying people bags for a living.
This is Bradley’s second conviction for theft within a two week period, joining a previous long list.
