Police: Can’t share motive in murder of Joshua Gallego, 26

By BBN Staff: On Thursday afternoon, Joshua Gallego, 26, was gunned down in Belize city.

According to police, he had just left his residence on North Creek when a gunman ambushed him not too far from home.

Five hours later he passed away while undergoing medical attention at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.

Police say they will not share the suspected motive for his murder although they confirmed he was known to police.

No one has since been detained but police have indicated they will put measures in place to reduce the chances of a retaliation.
