BELTRAIDE participates in ‘Belize Business Webinar’

By BBN Staff: The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) participated in a ‘Doing Business in Belize’ Webinar held yesterday.

The webinar was hosted by the United States Embassy in Belize.

Dr. Leroy Almendarez, executive director of BELTRAIDE, provided a holistic overview of Belize’s economy, and emphasized the diverse investment opportunities crossing the priority sectors in Belize.

The webinar was structured to sensitize prospective interests in the United States on doing business in Belize, and with the objective to further strengthen bilateral trade relation between the two nations.

Jessica Gordon, director of a U.S. commercial service based in Dallas-Fort Worth, introduced the speakers for the Webinar.

 Keith R. Gilges, Chargé d’Affaires, of the United States Embassy in Belize, welcomed the participants, which include a diverse group of companies in the United States.

 Carmen Silva, economic and commercial assistant of the Embassy, provided an introductory overview of Belize, and followed the presentation from Dr. Leroy Almendarez.

 Brian Lin, senior manager leading Investment Development at BELTRAIDE, accompanied the Executive Director and participated in the Webinar.

BELTRAIDE reaffirmed its readiness to provide guidance to prospective interests that seek to advance development endeavors in Belize.
