By BBN Staff: Lee Mark Chang, President of Belize’s Senate, is in the Republic of China (Taiwan) today in celebration of the 30th anniversary of established bilateral relations between the two countries.
Chang, who is Belize’s first ethnic Chinese Senator, is leading a four-member delegation with a mission to establish a Taiwan-Belize Parliamentary Friendship Group. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the delegation is set to meet with President Tsai Ing-wen (蔡英文), attend a banquet hosted by Foreign Minister Joseph Wu
(吳釗燮) and meet with Belizeans in Taiwan.
The ministry also said that the delegation will visit sites of interest such as the Agricultural Biotechnology Park in Pingtung, Tungkang Biotechnology Research Center, and Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area.
