Police find over 50lbs of weed on  Hummingbird Highway

By BBN Staff: Cops in Belmopan conducted a search yesterday afternoon in an area off mile 52 on the Hummingbird Highway where they found 56.5 pounds of cannabis.

Authorities dug up 3 separate holes and found the 18 parcels tightly wrapped in black plastic bags along with a scale and a shovel.

It was taken to the Belmopan Police Station and weighed 56.5 pounds.

No one was in the area at the time of the search so it was labeled as found property.
