By BBN Staff: Authorities have detained a man who is suspected of stealing cows and butchering them inside a farm in Teakettle, Cayo.
Farm owner, William Portillo, of Arizona area in Teakettle village, Cayo reported to authorities that around 7 am yesterday, he went to his farm and saw that 2 of his cows had been butchered.
The estimated valued of each cattle is $1,500.
Police later intercepted a vehicle and saw a large amount of beef meat in the pan of the truck.
The driver could not account for the meat and was therefore detained.
