By BBN Staff: Authorities were called to the Shell Gas Station at the corner of Cemetery Road and Central American Boulevard in Belize City around 5:15 pm yesterday.
Wenseslao Veliz,37, a Guatemalan vendor reported that he went to the gas station to refuel his vehicle but his vehicle began to experience mechanical problems.
He drove the vehicle about 15feet away from the pump to check the problem, however moments later the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
The fire was later extinguished by personnel from the Fire Department.
The vehicle was completely destroyed by the fire.
