Women abducted and robbed

By BBN Staff: Belmopan police are investigating a case of abduction.

It occured sometime around 8:00 p.m. last night.

Cinthia Ulloa, 28, reported that she was inside a Toyota Land Cruiser with her friend, Kristie Mejia, near mile 8 of the George Price Highway.

The two were in front of Mejia’s house socializing when three men approached.

One of the men was armed with a firearm.

He reportedly ordered both women to get in the back of the vehicle.

They women complied and were joined inside by the three men who drove to Armenia, Cayo.

Once there, they tied up the women and robbed them of their belongings, which was valued at $75,300.

The women were able to free themselves and were found wandering on the George Price Highway by police.
