By BBN Staff: On May 2, 2019, Taiwanese Ambassador to Belize, Remus Li-Kuo Chen hosted Belize’s Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management (with responsibility for Postal Services), Edmond Castro and a delegation headed by Post Master General James Gabriel at a luncheon meeting.

The main item discussed was preparation for the release of a series of stamps in commemoration of 30 years of diplomatic relations and strong friendship between the governments and people of Taiwan and Belize.

Other areas of technical cooperation discussed included transportation, mainly the ongoing project for the establishment of the Belize Motor Vehicle Registration and License System, funded by Taiwan through its International Cooperation Development Fund (ICDF).

The Taiwanese Ambassador and Castro expressed great pleasure for the opportunity to meet and discuss these key areas of mutual interest which have contributed significantly to the deepening relations between the two countries over the past 30 years and into the future.
