British national charged with damaging his wife’s Belizean passport

By Aaron Humes: A British national living in Belize was charged in court with damage to property for allegedly tearing apart his wife’s Belizean passport, worth 50 dollars, during an argument.

Mark Allan Charles Jones, 42, of Neal’s Pen Road, Belize City pleaded not guilty and bail was set at 500 dollars. Jones is back in court on July 3, 2019.

On Thursday, his wife, whose name we will not give for privacy reasons, asked her husband to join her in devotion and prayers. He refused, left the room and went into their bedroom and he started to hear the sound of tearing. She found him tearing apart the valuable immigration document.
