By BBN Staff: Unofficial reports coming from polling stations countrywide indicate that the ‘Yes’ votes are leading by over 4000 votes.
In the Belize district, the ‘No’ won only in Lake Independence while the ‘Yes’ won in all Belize City and the three rural Belize district constituencies.
Interestingly the two constituencies in the Stann Creek district both voted ‘Yes’ to the ICJ.
The Elections and boundaries department has not yet issued the official reports.
Counting of ballots continue at this time at each respective polling station.
Observers and members of the media are waiting for the official results at the Biltmore Plaza hotel where the Chief Elections Officer is expected to issue them shortly.
