Micah Goodin launches scholarship fund

By BBN Staff: Belize City Councilor, Micah Goodin, has announced a scholarship fund.

According to him, he hopes to raise $10,000 over the summer to assist tertiary level students.

“I am confident we can raise $10,000 over the summer,” he said.

He hopes to assist a minimum of 2-3 students from each Belize City constituency.

Goodin says that it is a partial scholarship which will eventually grow over the years.

“We believe in education and we want to help to ease the financial burdens of parents,” he explained.

He says funds will be raised via barbecue sales.

The first sale is to be held on Saturday, June 1st at the Constitution Park in Belize City.
