San Ignacio morgue back online

By BBN Staff: Quick response by the Ministry of Health (MOH) has restored function to the morgue at the San Ignacio Hospital.

The MOH informed Breaking Belize News that the morgue became operational moments ago after an assessment determined that an electrical problem of some kind tripped the circuit breaker for the facility.

Western Health Regional Manager Dr. Javier Zuniga, said this morning that these outages at the morgue are a frequent occurrence and are generally not long-lasting.

The issue of morgues needing upgrades in Belize is an ongoing public discussion.
