By BBN Staff: On Thursday, May 16, Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams visited the Security Forces Program at Delille Academy in Dangriga.
The objective of the visit was to observe how the program currently functions and to explore opportunities for partnership with the Police Department to enhance the Dangriga-based program.
The Security Forces Program is being conducted by the Ministry of Human Development through the Youth RISE Project, funded by a loan from the Caribbean Development Bank.
Thirty-two men and two women are currently enrolled in the Security Forces Program which prepares youths for entry into the Police, Coast Guard, and Belize Defense Force.
