By BBN Staff: Today, the Chief executive Officers (CEO) Caucus of the Government of Belize is hosting its fourth annual cancer ride along the George Price Highway.
Through the ride, which is being held under the theme “Stronger Together!”, the CEO’s have pledged to raise $50,000 in funding to assist the ongoing fight against cancer in Belize.
The event will start at 6 a.m. at the Solid Waste Management Landfill, Mile 24 on the George Price Highway and will end with a brief ceremony at the Agriculture and Trade Show Grounds in Belmopan.
The CEO Caucus said that there will be trucks at the Shell Service Station on Central American Boulevard that will depart from Belize City at 4:30 a.m. for riders wanting to attend. Those trucks will return to Belize City after the closing ceremony.
“The CEO Caucus invites all cyclists and all citizens of Belize to join us for this awareness ride. The CEO Caucus also takes this opportunity to thank motorists for their patience during the ride,” the CEO’s said in a statement issued today.
The event has exceeded its $50,000 target for three years straight.
