Man killed in traffic accident

By BBN Staff: Henry Augustine lost his life in a road traffic accident that occurred on Monday night.

According to reports, Augustine and three other persons were leaving Independence village en route to Georgetown when they stopped at a home on the highway.

The men were reportedly on the side of the road, when a vehicle swerved into them and knocked down Augustine.

He was taken to the Independence polyclinic where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have detained the driver of the vehicle.
