By BBN Staff: The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) through support from the Regional Center of Promotion for MSME (CENPROMYPE) is hosting a women’s mentorship networking event today in Belize city.

The SHEMentors event is being held under the theme: ‘Empowered for Work and Self’.

The event which is part of the Female Entrepreneurship program will be held on Thursday May 23, 2019 at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel commencing at 9:00 a.m.

The purpose of the event is to bring together women leaders and mentors from various sectors for knowledge exchange and interaction with women who have been participating in the Female Entrepreneurship Program, which was launched in March 2019.

The SHEMentors event will feature a panel discussion, testimonials, one on one mentoring and a business networking session.

The overarching goal is to create a “Women Mentorship Network Platform” for women across Belize.

The platform will feature entrepreneurs, leaders, stakeholders and executives and women business owners who champion for inclusion to entrepreneurship dialogue.

The highlight of this event will be the launch of the online SHEMentors Platform which will not only track where the women participating in the program are, but also make a pitch to other women interested in starting a business to join the network.
