Man charged for double shooting

By BBN Staff: Belize City police have charged Tarique Smith in connection with the shooting of Jamal Palacio and Justin Stuart.

Smith has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, one count of wounding, one count of dangerous harm and two counts of use of deadly means of harm.

On Sunday night both victims were socializing at a residence on Belize City’s southside when two men on a motorcycle rode up and opened fire.

At this time, Stuart remains hospitalized in a critical condition.
