By BBN Staff: People’s United Party Area Representative in the Freetown constituency, Hon. Francis Fonseca, made a generous contribution earlier this week.

Fonseca and Freetown’s councillor, Albert Vaughan, visited the All Saints Primary School and donated several music instruments, including a cymbal, two snare drums, a bass drum and six bugles. Principal Colin Estrada received the instruments on behalf of the school.

According to Fonseca the instruments will be used to reactivate the school’s once vibrant music program. “Our committee strongly believes in the importance of music and arts in all our schools,” said Fonseca.

He added, “Councillor Albert Vaughan is himself a musician, a former bandmaster of the BDF band and the former Coordinator of the music in schools program at the Ministry of Education during the period 2003 to 2008.”
