Two men Arraigned for Antelope Street shooting

By Aaron Humes:  On Tuesday evening, Jose Vasquez and Jose Rivera were arraigned in court for a shooting incident reported on Friday, May 24 on Antelope Street Extension. Three men standing near a mechanic shop were targeted, but fortunately, no one was injured.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, O.C., CIB, Belize City said police responded after four p.m. and were told that the attackers came on separate bicycles and there was an altercation that resulted in gunfire.

Vasquez and Rivera, charged with three counts each of aggravated assault on the unnamed victims, pleaded not guilty to the charges, but due to the nature of the offenses, they were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until July twenty-ninth, 2019.
