By Aaron Humes: Damion Saldano,18, has been arraigned and remanded to prison with respect to the recent robbery at Sunnyside Bakery on Racecourse Street in Belize City.

On Friday, May 31, 2019, by use of force and armed with a firearm, Saldano is accused of stealing from Eldon Pitterson. Saldano stole a brown wallet valued at $50.00 which contained Pitterson driver’s license along with $200 cash as well as a Samsung Galaxy cell phone valued at $1,200, along with $500 in cash from off the counter, the property of Sunny Side Bakery.

In court, Saldano pleaded not guilty to the charge. He was denied bail despite insisting he knew of no robbery and was otherwise occupied.

He returns to court on August 2, 2019.

A second person whose identity is not yet known remains at large as police continue their investigation into this latest robbery.
