Belize making history at NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour

By BBN Staff: For the first time ever, Team Belize is advancing in the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour, which is being held in Mexico.

Belize’s team scored two decisive, back-to-back wins on the Pool C category, marking a new era for Belize in beach volleyball. The International Volleyball Federation (FIVB for its acronym in Spanish) noted that Belize’s success rested on the shoulders of two players making their first appearance at the tournament, Bryton Codd and Francis Hause.

“Bryton Codd and Francis Hauze made a spectacular team debut, delivering Belize with not only one but two historic wins at the NORCECA Beach Tour. Codd and Hauze kicked off pool C winning 2-0 (21-11, 21-19)” the FIVB said.

Pool categories continue today in Playa del Malecon of La Paz, which will be followed by the quarterfinal matches. Breaking Belize News (BBN) will be posting the results as it becomes available. BBN also wishes the team good luck as they continue to represent Belize with flare.
