By BBN Staff: Jasmine Espat, a student from Saint Andrew’s Anglican School in San Ignacio, Cayo has topped the 2019 national Primary School Examinations (PSE) earning 386 scores out of 400.
Anna Elyse Fleser Perdue from La Isla Bonita Elementary in Ambergris Caye took 2nd place earning 380 points, Jasmine Faber from Saint Peter Claver Primary in Toledo took 3rd place with 379 points, and Kyrun Supaul also from Saint Peter Claver Primary in Toledo took 4th place with 377 points, while 5th place was earned by Emeleigh Kib of Faith Nazarene Primary in San Ignacio with 376 points.
A total of 7,015 Belizean students from 273 schools across the country sat the exam.
The PSE assesses achievements of curriculum content and skills in the following 4 areas: English, Math, Social Studies and Science.
