Power shortage may have caused fire at Old Belize

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating a fire that occurred today at Old Belize.

The security guard, Orlando Pinelo told police that there was a power shortage on the compound and when the electricity came back on, he saw a green wooden building engulfed in flames.

The building and its contents were partially destroyed by the fire.

The value of the building and its contents is unknown.

An investigation is ongoing.
