Erwin Castillo charged for burglary at Belize Waste Control

By BBN Staff: Belize City police have charged Erwin Castillo with the crime of robbery and burglary.

Readers will recall that over the weekend robbers entered the Belize Waste Control compound and tied up the security guard on duty.

Thereafter, they proceeded to burglarize the establishment.

While fleeing the area in a vehicle, the men caught the attention of curious cops who demanded they pull over.

Instead, several of the men exited the vehicle and opened fire at the officers.

The officers responded with gunfire but the men escaped.

All except for Castillo, the driver who was nabbed and was busted in possession of some of the stolen items.
