Belizean artist makes it to semifinals in international soca competition

By BBN Staff: Belizean Artist TR Shine has been accepted as a Semi-Finalist in the Yello International Bashment Soca Monarch Competition.

 A panel of judges reviewed the entries for this year’s competition and chose “Dip & Split” as one of the top twenty-five (25) Bashment Soca songs.

In this Semi-final Round of the competition, TR needs to get not only the judges to enjoy and approve of his song, but he also needs to have the public vote online for his song to be included in the finals.

 These votes along with the Judges’ scores will determine the twelve (12) International Bashment Soca Artistes that will meet ‘Lil Rick’, the reigning International Bashment Soca Monarch, and compete in Barbados on Saturday, July 6, 2019, for the title of International Bashment Soca Monarch. 

Everyone is encouraged to vote, voting concludes at10 pm on Monday, June 17, 2019.

Only one (1) vote per person per day is allowed.
