By BBN Staff: Belizean born Jasyra Franklin, 24, is one of six contestants from the Caribbean competing for the title of Miss New York Continental 2019.
The pageant, which will be held at the Wingate Campus Auditorium in Brooklyn, New York tomorrow June 15, is sponsored by the Brooklyn-based Caribbean American Cultural Group (CACG).
Franklin will compete against two contestants from Haiti, one from Trinidad and Tobago, one from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and one from Guyana.
Yvonne Peters, the founder of the CACG, said that the pageant consists of evening wear, swimwear, and a question-and-answer round.
