San Pedro Lobster fest kicks off today

By BBN Staff: The official opening of the annual San Pedro Lobster Festival will kick off at midday today at Caribbean Villas.

Every year, the event brings together thousands of Belizeans to enjoy exquisite lobster dishes as well as a Lionfish tournament, Lobster Fest’s dynamic lobster menu and the weighing of the biggest lobster.

 Belizeans and visitors have booked their hotels on La Isla Bonita to enjoy the Lobster-full weekend.

Activities continue throughout the day with a competition for biggest lobster.

The party will continue later today at Amber Beach bar and grill.

Throughout the week, June 16 to June 22, the fest moves on to several grill spots in San Pedro town.

There will be lots to eat and drink.

On Saturday, June 22, the event culminates with a block party at San Pedro’s Central Park.
