By Aaron Humes: Defending the Women’s Cross Country Cycling Classic Champion Kaya Cattouse is headed back to the United States for her second turn at the Intelligentsia Cup.
The 10-day event is being held from July 19 to 28 in Chicago, Illinois. Kaya is raising funds on the popular crowdfunding website GoFundMe, asking for 3 thousand dollars.
Cattouse told BBN this afternoon that the race is part of and the culmination of her training and determination to stay at the top. With no amount of braggadocio, she points out on the page that, “From the start of the local cycling season; January 2019, I have won every race on the cycling calendar in the female category and even won a race in Cozumel, Mexico for the fifth consecutive time.”
She adds that she is looking forward to finishing on the podium this year.
Kaya is currently a fifth of the way to her target, raising over 600 dollars as of this writing. If you wish to help call her at 6701313 or visit the GoFundMe page.
