One dead, another injured in Ladyville Shooting

By BBN Staff: This morning around 4, perpetrators shot two unarmed security guards near the entrance of Crystal Bottling Company in Ladyville, Belize District.

According to a statement from Bowen and Bowen, the gunshots were heard by other security guards who immediately called the police and went to the scene of the crime.

Upon arriving at the site, Marcia Talbott was found dead in the security booth with multiple gunshot wounds, while Mansa Baptist had received gunshots to the back and was taken to KHMH in critical condition.

“Neither factory compound in Ladyville keeps cash or valuables, and there were no signs of attempted forced entry. The Police are processing the scene, and at this time, we don’t know the details regarding the motivation of this crime,” the statement from Bowen and Bowen further asserts.

Police are investigating.
