Woman stabbed to the chest on Father’s Day

By BBN Staff: As the country celebrated Father’s Day on Sunday, a woman was the victim of domestic violence.

She is Earlett Sanchez, a resident of Guadalupe Street in Belize City.

Just before 6 a.m., she was at home when a dispute began between her and her common-law husband.

During that dispute, her common-law husband reached for a knife and stabbed her to the left side of her chest.

She was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.

Her attacker remains at large.

Police say the two have a history of domestic violence.
