Taiwan’s Transport Minister visits Belize

By BBN Staff: Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management, Edmond Castro was at the Philip Goldson International Airport this morning to welcome Taiwan’s Minister of Transportation and Communications, Lin Chia-Lung to Belize.

Minister Cha- Lung will spend the next four days in Belize on an official visit.

Tomorrow, Chia -Lung and his delegation will participate in bilateral meetings with Castro and officials from his ministry, the Department of Transport and the Belize Postal Service.

 Castro and Chia-Lung will later take part in a signing ceremony on Postal Services and Unveiling of the Design for Commemorative Stamps marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, and in a handover ceremony for the Motor Project Contribution from Taiwan.  

Lin Chia-Lung also has responsibility in his government for Tourism and Civil Aviation. He is scheduled to visit San Pedro, Ambergris Caye later in the week and meet with Belize’s Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Manuel Heredia.

Minister Chia-Lung leaves Belize on Sunday, June 23.
