Belizean man shot and killed allegedly by his son in Ohio, USA

By BBN Staff:  A Belizean man was gunned down in Barberton, Ohio on Wednesday morning, and police have charged his son for the crime.

Barberton Police say around 11:00 am on June 19th, they found Shannon Callahan, 41, in his driveway with multiple gunshot wounds, and arrested Shannon Ingol, 22, who was on the scene. Callahan and his son lived at the same address.

Friends of the family here in Belize, tell BBN that Shannon Ingol is Callahan’s son and this was confirmed by the obituary for Callahan’s deceased mother. Shannon Callahan’s family originally lived in Cotton Tree village, Cayo then they moved to Esperanza village where he spent much of his younger years. Callahan then migrated to the USA.

Ingol has been charged with first-degree murder yesterday and the judge set bond at US$1 million. He is scheduled to have his pre-trial hearing on Friday.
