By BBN Staff: At the meeting of the House of Representatives today, Representative for Toledo West, Oscar Requena raised concerns over an increase in drivers licenses and gun licenses.

The gun license rate was increased from $75 to $225.

Requena also told the House of Representatives that residents are concerned about the increase in rates for captain licenses.

“This is costing the Belizean people and it is making things difficult,” Requena said.

Requena reiterated that it is time for the Government of Belize to look into raising the minimum wage for Belizean workers.

In addition,  Requena asked Prime Minister Dean Barrow to look into installing electricity and internet in the community of Corazon, Toledo District.
