Couple from San Narciso busted with weed

By BBN Staff: Authorities have detained a couple from San Narciso in Northern Belize pending charges of drug trafficking.

A police report indicates that around 4:30 this morning, officers were conducting vehicle checkpoint at the entrance of San Jose, Orange Walk and they stopped a passenger bus.

When police searched the bus, they noticed a man and woman sitting together and a bag was between them.

A search of the bag led to the discovery of (6) parcels of suspected cannabis weighing a total of 7.4 pounds.

  Both persons were detained pending charges
