Drug traffickers ditch weed and escape

By BBN Staff: Authorities conducting a mobile patrol at the entrance of San Antonio, Corozal yesterday noticed a suspicious grey Toyota 4Runner heading toward Corozal town.

The police pursued the vehicle and when reaching Buena Vista, one of the occupants threw several parcels from the moving vehicle.

The vehicle and occupants escaped.

Police found the 2,500 grams of suspected cannabis.

The suspected drugs were labeled and deposited as found property.

The vehicle was later found abandoned in San Jose, Orange Walk.
