By BBN Staff: The Taste of the Caribbean competition was held in Miami from June 21 to 25.
Team Belize earned silver and bronze medals in several categories during the competition.
Team Belize’s Mark Jacobs won silver in the Bartender category. Team Belize also earned bronze in the seafood, junior chef (Rogel Lisbey) and pastry (Maria Urbina) categories.
Chef Sean Kuylen and Eva Longsworth also received honorary certificates.
Belize also won the whole-hog cooking competition.
