By Aaron Humes: National club football champions Belmopan Bandits are in training ahead of the CONCACAF League preliminary round match with Costa Rica’s Deportivo Saprissa.

 Over the weekend they were on the beach preparing in Hopkins, Stann Creek District, according to a social media post.

“It’s all about hard work and dedication! Countdown to July 31st when the Belmopan Bandits go up against Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica in Belize! Mark your calendars,” the post read in part.

A friendly match has been scheduled for Friday, July 12, at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan against Inter Playa of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Game time is 8:00 p.m.Tickets are on sale for ten dollars general admission; five dollars for high school students and free for kids under 12.

 The Bandits play Saprissa at home on July 31 and away on August 7. See you there!
