BDF volunteer killed in hit and run

By BBN Staff: A young volunteer of the Belize Defence Force (BDF), Charles Belle, lost his life to a road traffic accident.

Last night, Belle was reportedly traveling from Central Farm to Esperanza when a white van knocked him down near Running W Meats.

Authorities responded to the scene and took Belle to the San Ignacio Community Hospital.

He was later transferred to the KHMH where he died this morning.

Police are still seeking the van and the driver responsible.
