Shop keeper fires shots at armed robbers

By BBN Staff: Yesterday afternoon there was an armed robbery at Good Time Chinese store in San Ignacio, Cayo.

When investigators visited the shop they spoke to Quing Jie Zhe, who reported that he was inside his shop when two men entered.

Once inside, the men pretended to be patrons.

However, one of the men quickly pulled out a firearm and demanded money.

The other man jumped over the counter and stole a Samsung cell phone along with assorted items and $200 in cash.

Both men then fled the location.

Mr. Zhe attempted to pursue them, firing two shots from his licensed firearm at the suspects.

However, the men still escaped.
