Body of woman found in Orange Walk

By BBN Staff: Reports reaching our newsroom are that the body of a woman was found this morning in a cane field along the San Lorenzo Road in Orange Walk District.

The woman and her 4-year-old son had reportedly gone missing yesterday after she left the Western Union Office.

The child was found walking on the road with apparent stab wounds. He was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital for treatment.

It is believed that they were abducted and attacked.

Authorities are investigating.
