Fisherman of San Pedro is accused of burglary

Posted: Tuesday, July 9, 2019. 3:34 pm CST.

By Aaron Humes: Fisherman Raymond Lamb of San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye is accused of a major burglary at a popular resort on the island.

Lamb was arraigned on Monday evening in Belize City before Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts-Anderson as the town magistrate was out.

Lamb is accused of breaking into the residence of Misty Harris at Victoria House on July 6, and stealing jewelry, a wallet containing cash, and her credit card, all to a total value of $42,490.

Lamb is coming off a previous conviction for burglary for which he was fined not even a month ago in June. The prosecutor asked for no bail due to the usual considerations, mentioning that Lamb was reportedly caught red-handed by two witnesses who can identify him.

The Senior Magistrate Tricia Pitts Anderson agreed with the prosecutor and denied bail to Lamb. He was remanded into custody until September 3, 2019, when he goes back home for his court appearance.
