Mason appears in court as trial continues

By BBN Staff: Yesterday the murder trial of William “Danny” Mason continued for about 4 hours before Justice Antoinette Moore in Belmopan.

Three witnesses reportedly testified but the highlight of was a cautionary statement given by one of the accused who had confessed to the crime.

If admitted into evidence it will have a significant implication on the outcome of this trial.

However, at this time we are not able to provide details as this portion of the trial was treated with confidentiality.

As you may recall, William Danny Mason, Ashton Vanegas, Keron Fernandez, Terrence Fernandez, and Ernest Castillo, were all charged with the July 2016 beheading of Pastor Llewellyn Lucas.

His head was allegedly found in a pigtail bucket in the back of Mason’s truck.

Police believe that his body was burnt.

However, a motive for his murder was never established.
