Reward being offered in Yanira Novelo murder case

By BBN Staff: A reward of $2,000 is now being offered for information leading to the conviction of the person/persons responsible for the murder of San Jose village resident Yanira Novelo, 24.

Persons who have information on this heinous crime are urged to call Crime Stoppers Belize at 922 to give information anonymously.

Authorities were alerted that Novelo was being held against her will when her four-year-old son was found wandering alone on the San Lorenzo road on July 8. The child was suffering from a stab wound to the rib cage

Authorities discovered Novelo’s body on July 9, in a cane field about 4 miles down the San Lorenzo Road.
