Man fleeing police shot in Belize City

By BBN Staff: A man who was being pursued by Belize City police sustained gunshot injuries this evening.

Allison Major,36, was driving his vehicle fleeing police and when he was arriving near the Swing Bridge, he was shot.

Major was taken to the KHMH for medical treatment.

At this time, there are no details as to why he was being pursued.

Police are yet to issue an official report on this incident.
