Belize City businessman murdered on Cemetery Road

By BBN Staff: Authorities are investigating the murder of Belize City businessman, Jose Hilario Diaz that occurred yesterday evening.

According to reports, Diaz was under a shed with a zinc roof alone on Cemetery Road when a lone gunman approached and fired shots at him and then escaped.

Diaz sustained gunshot injuries to his jaw.

He was transported to KHMH where he was pronounced dead at 6:40 pm.

A post mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted on the body.

A police investigation is ongoing.
