By BBN Staff: A Nigerian taxi driver lost his life last night in Belize City.

Details are still sketchy as to what occurred but initial reports indicate that Emmanuel A. Ampomah was driving his taxi with 2 men inside and when entering Seashore drive, the two persons allegedly stabbed him and then exited the vehicle.

The vehicle then collided into a drain.

Authorities arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and found the lifeless body of Ampomah.

Inside of the vehicle, police found an 8 inch knife and a backpack.

The body was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

An investigation is ongoing.
