Tropical wave brings rains

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize reports that moist and unstable conditions will continue as a tropical wave crosses Belize.

Some showers and thunderstorms are forecasted mostly over Central and Southern areas.

The sea state will be moderate to rough.

The winds will blow from the East to Northeast at 10-20 knots.

A small craft caution is in effect for occasionally gusty winds near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

There is the possibility of localized flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas, especially near rivers and streams in the south.

High temperatures are expected as follows: in the coast, 84 degrees Fahrenheit; 88 degrees Fahrenheit inland and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Low temperatures for tonight in the coast are expected at 82 degrees Fahrenheit, inland at 72 degrees Fahrenheit, and in the hills at 68 degrees Fahrenheit.

The extended forecast for tomorrow is for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms to continue.
