Police urge beaten teen to make formal report

By BBN Staff: Over the weekend social media went abuzz with two girls seen beating a female teen and presumably robbing her of $5 on an unknown street in Belize City.

Today the Belize Police Department is asking the victim to stop by the station and make a formal report so that justice is served.

According to police, the department is cognizant that the teen might not want to make a report for fear of another attack.

However, if needed the police can put in place measures to reduce those risks.
