Police: Waiting for evidence in Allyson Major case

Posted: Monday, July 22, 2019. 4:47 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The investigation into the death of Allyson Major, 36, remains open.

Today police indicated that on Friday they received updates from forensics but are waiting for one more piece of evidence before determining who will be charged for his death.

On Tuesday, July 16th, Major was shot in his head on Regent Street in Belize City.

Police say they were pursuing him and he refused to stop.

However, after he was shot he did come to a stop, during which, no drugs or guns were found in his possession.

His death has since sparked public pressure prompting the Belize Police Department to conduct an internal and criminal investigation.
